Discover Nearly 70 Ways to Get Involved This Holiday Season!

Through United Way of Salt Lake’s 2016 Holiday Opportunity List, you will find ways to serve Thanksgiving meals, sponsor a low-income family for Christmas, read with students, host a party for immigrants, make ornaments for people with disabilities, fix children’s bikes, perform building maintenance, collect coats for refugees, make blankets for hospice patients, donate toys to homeless pets, record veterans’ stories, and much more! Check back each week for an updated list.

Get involved by donating new winter clothing for children now through December 1! Check-out our flyer, drop-off donations at our office, or buy new items online with a click of a button.

Thank you for celebrating Dr. Seuss' Birthday with us!

On Dr. Seuss Day, also known as National Read Across America Day, schools throughout the country celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday to promote literacy. On March 2, 2016, United Way of Salt Lake partnered with 19 schools in Salt Lake and Davis counties. Nearly 300 volunteers read Dr. Seuss books in classrooms and played literacy games with students. Thank you to all the school and volunteers for participating!

Youth and Family Volunteering in Salt Lake City

Thank you for helping us #ChangetheOdds!

Thank you to everyone who attended our 2016 Day of Action in June. Over 300 volunteers beautified Hillcrest High School, delivered 211 information to 1,654 homes, and prepared 1,000 hygiene kits and 750 middle school binders.

We would like to thank all the amazing volunteers and the agencies that came together to make Day of Caring 2016 a huge success. Together over 4,000 volunteers representing 120 local companies completed over 130 one-day service projects.
