Day of Caring
Day of Caring 2013 is just around the corner and we are gearing up for the best year yet! Day of Caring engages more than 4,000 volunteers from over 115 local companies. Volunteers spend upwards of 36,000 hours completing more than 100 one-day service projects in Davis, Salt Lake, Summit, and Tooele counties. Volunteer efforts help United Way of Salt Lake advance the education, income, and health of our neighborhoods and communities. Volunteers reach thousands of our most vulnerable citizens and build a stronger community for us all. Last year we saved our community over $615,000! This year, our goal is to have 5,000 volunteers participate!
Stuff The Bus
This school year, many children will lack the supplies they need to enter the classroom ready to learn. Help United Way of Salt Lake 3rd Annual Stuff the Bus with school supplies for low income children served through Neighborhood Centers and Community Schools. Supplies collected will be stuffed into backpacks and delivered to over 20 locations on United Way of Salt Lake’s annual Day of Caring, September 12, 2013.
Summer of Service
Summer of Service (SOS) is a program of United Way 211 Volunteer Center, which helps youth connect to their communities by volunteering during the summer vacation.
