Day of Caring
Day of Caring
Celebrate 22 years of volunteerism with
United Way of Salt Lake!
September 11th, 2014
Day of Caring engages more than 4,200 volunteers from over 100 local companies. Volunteers spend upwards of 20,000 hours completing more than 115 one-day service projects in Davis, Salt Lake, Summit, and Tooele counties. Last year we saved our community over $770,000! This year, our goal is to have 5,000 volunteers participate!
Day of Caring begins at a kick-off breakfast at The Gateway with live entertainment for all sponsors and volunteer participants from 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
Follow the steps below to enroll your organization for Day of Caring or to submit a volunteer project.
Sign-up for a Volunteer Project:
This past year we had over 100 dedicated groups travel to over 115 different service projects at local community partners, schools, and other organizations serving our community. Collectively, all of our volunteers worked together to save our community over $770,000. This year, our goal is to have 5,000 volunteers participate in Day of Caring. This means we need your company's help to make a difference in our community. Start by submitting this simple registration form!
Complete the Liability and Photo Release Form:
Every volunteer needs to fill out the Liability Form! Also, there will be many photographers and videographers present at Day of Caring. By filling out this form, you let us know if we have your permission to document you participating at the event.
Order your team's LIVE UNITED t-shirts:
Order your official LIVE UNITED / Day of Caring 2014 team t-shirts. You may even customize the LIVE UNITED t-shirts to include your company logo so that we know your group is present and participating in Day of Caring.
Day of Caring Project Submission:
Do you have a project that you would like the Day of Caring volunteers to help you accomplish? Submit your project here! Our United Way of Salt Lake staff will match you with a team of volunteers that are suited to meet the demands of your project.
