groups 1Volunteering in a group is one of the most popular ways to volunteer.  School groups, faith-based, corporate, community, and civic groups all want opportunities to volunteer together.  Volunteer groups have the advantage of getting a large project done in a short amount of time.  Sometimes this poses a challenge for nonprofit organizations to be able to house and manage the group.  When groups give plenty of time to plan and prepare a project with an organization, great things can happen!

If you are a group leader looking for volunteer opportunities, use the advanced search option to find opportunities available to small (2+) or large groups (11+), check out the resource list of organizations who have projects for groups, or contact the United Way 2-1-1 Volunteer Center for help.
