Read. Graduate. Succeed. Interest Form

We have three programs that need volunteers!
Please read the information below and fill out the interest form.

Read Today is a tutoring program in elementary schools, grades 1-8. Volunteers focus on improving students’ reading using the STAR reading program, a fun and easy way to help students with fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. Tutoring occurs twice a week for 30 minutes over 30 weeks. An impressive 79% of the students who scored below proficiency on the previous year’s state assessment will score at proficiency after participation in this program.

Mentoring for Success is a mentoring program in elementary schools in which volunteers work one-on-one with students who struggle with attendance. The mentor will help identify the student’s needs and create a plan to increase the student’s attendance and academic performance, with a possible focus on math. The program coordinator will support mentors and help them design the best program for their students.

Destination Graduation mentors are placed in junior high and high schools to work one-on-one with students to help them graduate from high school and get ready for college. The program coordinator will support mentors and help them design a program for their students.

CHOOSE WHERE AND WHEN YOU WOULD LIKE TO MENTOR

Ideally, volunteers mentor once a week for an hour, twice a week for 30 minutes, OR twice a week for one hour.

Select the school with a day and time frame that you feel best fits your schedule. Not sure what you can commit to? That's OK. For now, just choose the best available option. Our Volunteer Coordinator will contact you via e-mail to help you decide which Mentor for Success program can match your availability.
