Granger Elementary Community School

Granger Elementary is an important addition to the Community Schools operating in our community. Granger is the largest elementary school in the Granite School District, with over 860 students. Among those 860 students, 79 percent qualify for free and reduced lunch, 79 percent are ethnic minority, and 75 percent do not speak English as their primary language.

Many of UWSL's most important partners are already involved at Granger Elementary, so United Way of Salt Lake is excited to become involved and support their work with a full-time site coordinator. By doing so, we can ensure that all of the services that are provided at the school are integrated. This means that daytime curriculum, afterschool programs, youth mentoring, family health services, adult education, and many other services will be aligned and coordinated to leverage their overall impact and improve outcomes for children and families.
