The Woodrow Wilson Community School is a collaboration focused on fostering the success of the youth and families in South Salt Lake City. The Community School is a place where young people are mentored and given direction to be personally successful in society. Through collaborative efforts the center provide resources, people, and programs to help South Salt Lake youth and citizens achieve their potential.

Programming is for students and adults in South Salt Lake City.  Both beforeschool and afterschool programs focus on students in kindergarten through 6th grade. The evening program serves students in grades pre-K-6 and their adult family members, as well as other residents in the community who may not have students who attend Woodrow Wilson Elementary School.

The Community School has had the opportunity to grow exponentially since the Community School was instituted at Woodrow Wilson. Prior to 2009, the Afterschool Program was the sole program offered to the community. Now the Community School has 3 core programs and within those programs many more opportunities for families to engage with the learning happening at the school. The Community School currently operates 16 hours of out-of-school time programming and serves approximately 200 families and 250 students.
