McPolin Elementary Community School

McPolin Elementary has been a Community School since 2011. McPolin and Trailside Elementary Schools were added as Community Schools when United Way saw an opportunity to have all four Park City elementary schools be Community Schools.

McPolin has a total of 372 students, approximately 50 percent of whom are Hispanic.

During the summer, Holy Cross Ministries operates a robust seven week program open to all elementary schools students. McPolin has an afterschool program supported by the Park City School District Education Foundation. People’s Health Clinic provides medical and dental services for students and families who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford it and Big Brothers Big Sisters provides mentors for students.

New for this school year will be an AmeriCorps member focusing on tutoring students in English language skills, with programming expanded into the school day.
