About the Celebration of Service:
- More than 650 guests will join United Way of Salt Lake (UWSL) as we honor individuals and organizations for their dedication and service to our community.

We will recognize the following honorees in five areas:

Michael Weinholtz, The Weinholtz Family Foundation Compassionate Leader of the Year

Representative Greg Hughes, Utah House of Representatives President's Award for Excellenceo    Workers Compensation Fund, Corporate Partner of the Yearo   

Craig Wagstaff, Questar Gas Company Volunteer of the Year
Voices for Utah Children, Promise Partner of the Year

UWSL will recognize hundreds of supporters and partners who collaborate to advance education, income, and health in our neighborhoods and communities.

Deborah Bayle, President and CEO, will present the Annual Report to the Community.

Over the past year, employees who have attended their employee giving campaign were entered to win a drawing for a one-year lease of a 2014 BMW. Of nine finalists who were picked from the thousands who attended, one lucky winner will walk away with a one-year lease from BMW of Murray and a year's worth of gas from Tesoro.

United Way of Salt Lake's Celebration of Service 2014 event is generously underwritten by Wells Fargo, Savage, Questar, Chase, and Rocky Mountain Power.


On-site after-hours dental care now in 13 Title I schools in Utah
December 18, 2014 Author: KUER 13 Title-I schools in Salt Lake are now providing on-site after-hours dental clinics thanks to a complex partnership of 11 groups including United Way of Salt Lake and Intermountain Healthcare.

School year ends but reading effort continues
July 23, 2014 Author: Nadine Wimmer Teachers at Roosevelt Elementary told students if they would work hard to meet their reading goals, the school would petition for a helicopter visit.

School Supplies Needed
June 13, 2014 Author: by Tom Busselberg School may be out for most students, but there will be those pencils, pens, notebooks, and more that are needed when classes resume in the fall. That’s why United Way of Salt Lake, which includes Davis County, is seeking school supplies for those in need.
