Help United Way of Salt Lake Stuff the Bus with school supplies for 5,000 kids!

Salt Lake City – This school year, many children will lack the supplies they need to enter the classroom ready to learn. United Way of Salt Lake is encouraging the community to help collect school supplies for low-income children served through United Way of Salt Lake’s neighborhood Community Learning Centers. Supplies collected will be stuffed into backpacks and delivered to over 15 school locations on United Way of Salt Lake’s annual Day of Caring, September 8, 2011.


WHEN:  Now through August 5th


  1. Donate school supplies.  Drop off school supplies at United Way of Salt Lake; 175 S. West Temple, Suite 30, Salt Lake City, UT.
  2. Conduct a school supply drive with your friends, family, and/or coworkers. Fill out the participation form online at, or dial 2-1-1
  3. Donate $5 to fill a backpack for a kid by texting SLKIDS to 864833

School year ends but reading effort continues
