Do you have affordable health care coverage? Have rising costs put a financial strain on your family? 

Unexpected medical bills can eat up your savings account or even set you on the road to bankruptcy, even if you do have health insurance. But as many as 300,000 - 400,000 Utahns do not have health insurance at all, according to recent estimates. Individual policies are expensive, and costs are rising for employers.  Uninsured Utahns face tough choices every day. And when medical bills go unpaid, costs rise for everyone.

To address our state’s health care system the Legislature has created the Health System Reform Task Force to develop and implement meaningful reform.  The task force has since created five stakeholder groups that will participate in the work of the task force and provide feedback.

United Way of Salt Lake and the Utah Health Policy Project have been asked to convene the Community Stakeholders to actively gather community feedback.  Each month the Community Stakeholders will meet to learn more about our state’s health care reform efforts and gather input.  To learn more about health care reform in our state please click here for more resources.  To share your feedback please use the form below.
