Overcoming Odds to Find Academic Success – Amber’s Story
A 90/90/90 school is one that has been identified with the following characteristics: 90 percent or more of the students live at or near the federal poverty line, 90 percent or more of the students are ethnic minorities, and 90 percent or more of the students meet the district or state academic standards in reading, math, and science. Many of the students at Granger Elementary face unbelievable odds, yet they are consistently seeing improvements in academic achievement.
