Oquirrh Hills Elementary
Oquirrh Hills Community School, a United Way Neighborhood Center, serves about 400 students and hosts two preschool programs. About 80 percent of the 400 students are eligible to receive free or reduced lunch and is a Title I school. Services offered at Oquirrh Hills include two all-day kindergarten classrooms, before and afterschool programs, an 8-week summer school program including a pre-kindergarten transitional program and evening classes for parents. Promise Partners also provide students and families with health, vision and dental services as well as vaccinations. Volunteers from the community, as well as Kearns Jr. High School and Kearns High School, support the reading tutoring programs during the school day.
