Kearns High Community School, a United Way Neighborhood Center, completes the “pipeline” of opportunities available to students in Kearns from preschool through 12 grade. The number one priority of the partnership at Kearns High is to improve high school graduation. Kearns Promise Partners align their programs to focus on assisting struggling students in areas such as attendance, credit recovery, math, and literacy. Kearns High recently added ninth grade to its student body and incorporated a Freshman Academy to support students as they transition to high school. Its focus is to establish a culture of high academic achievement where every student graduates and is ready for college. Promise Partners will help these students by providing mentoring, tutoring and family support.
