Households that are financially stable and have sufficient income to support their families create a stronger community and economy. United Way is helping families build a firm financial foundation by providing financial tools and resources to help save for retirement or college and weather financial setbacks. By bringing together partners from business, community organizations, and local government, we can help more families in our community reach financial independence.
UNITED WAY’S OVERALL GOAL FOR INCOME IS:
Earn It. Keep It. Save It.: Families gain the income and financial tools to thrive
United Way knows that creating neighborhood resources is key in building strong financial independence for families. Neighborhood Centers offer opportunities that empower families and individuals to secure adequate income to pay off debt and build their savings. Centers also provide assistance with tax credits and preparation, navigating service systems, as well as career and job guidance.
