Immigrant & Refugee Integration
United Way works to build cohesive communities by helping immigrant and refugee families learn English, succeed in education, and overcome other barriers to financial stability. It is estimated that there are 25,000 refugees who have been resettled in Utah and roughly 170,000 immigrants call Utah home.
UNITED WAY’S OVERALL GOAL FOR
IMMIGRANT AND REFUGEE INTEGRATION IS:
Cohesive Communities: Immigrants and refugees are integrated into our community
Immigrant and refugee integration is a dynamic, two-way process where newcomers and Utah residents work together to create stronger, healthier, and diverse neighborhoods. United Way works closely with area businesses, community leaders, and organizations to help immigrants and refugees adjust to life in Utah.
