SALT LAKE CITY — Deborah Bayle, who has served as the president and CEO of United Way of Salt Lake for more than 15 years, has announced her plans to retire this summer.

“I am so proud of the work we have accomplished together and the lasting changes we have made in our community during my time with United Way of Salt Lake,” Bayle said. “I am looking forward to continuing to serve our community by staying involved and supporting the important issues I have cared about for so many years.”

Prior to her appointment with United Way, she served three years as CEO of the Greater Salt Lake Area Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Bayle spent more than 20 years with the Salt Lake Chamber, where she began in 1976 and eventually became chief operating officer.

Bayle’s retirement from United Way means a search for a new president and CEO is underway. United Way of Salt Lake’s board of directors has retained the services of DHR International to lead the search.
