Celebrating 22 years of volunteerism by weeding, picking up trash and building garden beds together as a team. Today, September 11, 2014, the Salt Lake Chamber and Downtown Alliance met at the New Roots Refugee Garden for the 2014 United Day of Caring. This is the 22nd Annual Day of Caring and it is the biggest year yet! There were over 5,700 volunteers participating on 130 projects around the community. Our project was with the IRC New Roots program at their New Roots Farm. We had a great time and enjoyed working hard together. It always makes such a difference when you can see the work that you accomplish as a team. Here are a few pictures from the event.

We enjoyed a beautiful day outside volunteering. To follow the social media conversation about this event, simply search for the hashtags #DOC2014 or #LiveUnited. What experiences have you had?
