Intermountain Healthcare has announced a $200,000 grant to United Way of Salt Lake and its 10 collaborative partners to provide oral health care in underserved communities.

The $200,000 grant will specifically enable on-site, after-hours school dental clinics in 13 title-one schools including five United Way Community Schools (Lincoln, Granger, South Kearns, Guadalupe and Roosevelt elementary schools). The oral health project includes 10 partners, each with an expertise to provide dental screenings, after-hours dental clinics, follow-up and referral, oral health education, care management, and dental insurance enrollment and financial assistance to increase access for families in need.
