Morris Murdock Travel and Morris Meetings & Incentives teamed up with United Way for the 22nd annual United Way Day of Caring 2014 Community Partner Project to give the Guadalupe School Community a "Back to School Carnival."

On September 11, fifty amazing volunteers from Morris Murdock Travel, Morris Meetings & Incentives, Siemens Medical and the Shepard Ward youth group from Kaysville along with some very helpful spouses all pitched in to run games, dispense sandwiches, hand out chips, serve Fat Boy ice cream, take drink orders, distribute popcorn and cotton candy, and more.

In addition to all the food and drink provided the volunteers also watched over the fun activities arranged for the students from the bounce house, to the slide and onto the obstacle course, making sure all were safe and happy. Not a small feat when you realize that the crowd of guests just kept growing all evening numbering almost 1,000 between students, friends and family. The "Back to School Carnival" would not have been possible without the generous support of fellow believers and supporters: Mi Preferida FM, Subway, Princess Cruise Lines, Fun Services, Rose Park Smith's, Fat Boy, Swire Coca-Cola, Classic Fun Centers, Lagoon, Fanzz, Four Season Dental, and Stacey's Petting Zoo.

We at Morris Murdock Travel and Morris Meetings & Incentives encourage you to make a difference in the life of a student. You can learn how to help by visiting the school website at

Guadalupe School is a community of students, staff and volunteers who believe that education is the greatest tool to fight the cycle of poverty. We are five programs within one school, each reaching individuals and families living in poverty. To all who enroll in our programs, we provide a sense of connection, a welcome place to learn and a chance to find better opportunities.
