22nd Annual United Way Day of CaringSeptember 11, 2014
Over 5,700 volunteers representing 130 local companies will complete 135 one-day service projects. Together, they will complete over 25,000 hours of volunteer service.
Their service saves our community more than $500,000! But the impact can be measured in more than just dollars. The work completed today will not only help improve individual lives, but also help build a stronger community for all of us.
United Way of Salt Lake "Promise Partners," schools and other organizations in Davis, Salt Lake, Summit, and Tooele counties are working together with United Way of Salt Lake on this huge volunteer effort.
Day of Caring volunteer efforts are coordinated through workplace/company partnerships and United Way and its partners, but anyone can sign up to participate! Get a group of friends, family, or co-workers together, visit uw.org/volunteer and sign your group to participate next year.
If you didn't sign up to volunteer this year, YOU STILL CAN! Come to the Gateway from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and help us stuff 8,500 backpacks with school supplies for kids in our community.
OR! Text SLKIDS to 50555 and GIVE 10! Your $10 donation will help buy school supplies for at-risk kids in our community who really need them.
