Young Leaders
Young Leaders are enthusiastic and dynamic individuals and couples age 40 and under who invest $1,000 or more annually.
Young Leaders provides opportunities for effective advocacy and community service, and encourages networking through social events. This energetic group of 488 young philanthropists is paving the way for the next generation of community leaders to become catalysts for lasting change. Young Leaders membership grew by 75 in 2012-2013 and members invested over $486,000 in United Way's work.
Benefits of becoming a Young Leader
Members enjoy many exclusive events and activities throughout the year. Young Leaders help United Way make a real difference in people's lives and in our community through volunteer, networking, and personal and professional growth opportunities, including:
- Lunch with a Leader and Lunch with a Legislator: Members rub shoulders with prominent business and community leaders
- Community Service Projects: Members come together to organize projects and provide a wide variety of service in our community
- Networking and Social Events: Members grow personally and professionally with a variety of events throughout the year
- Public Policy and Advocacy: Members involve and educate individuals about United Way of Salt Lake's human service priorities and facilitate interaction with state legislators
Fast Track: You can increase your annual investment over the next three years, and be recognized now at your chosen leadership level! Example: $500 (2012-2013) $750 (2013-2014) $1,000 (2014-2015)
