Rebecca Dutson serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer for United Way of Salt Lake. Rebecca’s extensive management and development experience contribute to the vision and leadership of the organization. She oversees the organization’s resource development and marketing departments and is responsible to innovate, develop, and strengthen internal and external practices, which strengthen the brand and increase resources necessary to meet United Way’s mission. She previously served as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining United Way in 1991, Rebecca worked for First Security Bank. Rebecca is recognized for her leadership on a national level. She currently serves as a member of the United Way Worldwide Major and Planned Giving Leadership Council. Additionally, she completed two terms serving on the United Way Worldwide Inclusion Council as co-convener of the Women’s Business Resource Group. She is a frequent presenter on resource development at national and regional conferences. As a member of the Salt Lake Chamber Board of Governors, Rebecca takes an active leadership role in the community. She was highlighted in 2013 as one of Utah Business magazine’s 30 Women to Watch. She was previously featured in 2006 as one of Utah Business magazine’s Forty Under 40. Rebecca received her B.S. from the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business. She is an accomplished violinist and pianist. She and her husband, Rulon, enjoy two wonderful daughters.
