Dylan's Story of Hope

That’s when Dylan and his family found out about an eight-week program called “Helping Families Succeed”. The program brought him together with other teens who needed support. He and his father received counseling about how to communicate better, how to deal with stress and other important life skills.

Dylan’s grades are now going back up, and he and his family are happier and more hopeful. Now Dylan is mentoring other kids who are struggling, and he is glad to have a chance to give back and make a difference.

Thanks to supporters of United Way of Salt Lake, families like the Yarbroughs receive the help they need and find hope

Tocqueville Event Plants the Seeds of Philanthropy

Members of the Tocqueville Society, United Way of Salt Lake’s strongest investors, gathered together on July 12, at The Canyons Resort in Park City, for an evening entitled “Planting the Seeds for Philanthropy”. Tocqueville Society members invest $10,000 or more annually and provide substantial support to advance the work of United Way of Salt Lake.

The evening focused on accomplishments made possible by Tocqueville members, and new members were recognized with a beautiful, personalized award. Additionally, ideas were shared among members about the importance of involving the next generation in philanthropy.

Family activities included a gondola ride, horseshoes, volleyball, croquet and hiking, as well as live music and dinner in the Pavilion.

The evening was generously underwritten by Bonneville International Corporation and Intermountain Health Care. To learn more about the Tocqueville Society, contact Joy Erickson, donor relations director, at (801) 736-7707.
