How Can I Help Refugees?

A refugee is a person forced to flee his or her country and is unable to return due to persecution based on religion, race, nationality, political opinion, or membership in a particular social group. There are 20,000,000 refugees in the world and Utah resettles about 1,150 refugees every year. Currently, 60,000 refugees from more than 20 countries live in Utah and 5,000–10,000 continue to need assistance of some kind. YOU can help!

You can help by donating items such as diapers, feminine hygiene products, and toiletries, or by volunteering with refugees as a mentor or teaching a professional skill. Click here for help deciding how to help refugees.
