Affordable Care Act

United Way 2-1-1 has information specialists on-call to answer questions about how the Affordable Care Act applies to you. Our Certified Application Counselors and Navigator here can also provide educational outreach and in-person application assistance for Health Insurance Marketplace enrollment. For more information, call 2-1-1 or contact Sandra Carpio

All legal residents must enroll in an insurance plan during the Marketplace open enrollment period, which ends March 31, 2014. If you do not enroll by this time or choose not to purchase insurance, you will be subjected to a fee. In certain cases, individuals can get an exemption from the fee, depending on affordability or special circumstances.
